1959Antonio Mancini purchases the Providence Beverage Company, a Rhode Island beer distribution business.
1968With the acquisition of Rhode Island Distributing, Raymond Mancini, Sr., Antonio’s son, assumes a primary leadership role.
1985Mancini Beverage launches Coors Brewing in RI, solidifying its role as a significant player in the local beer business.
1989Centrex launches as a shipping and logistics platform, allowing us to be a leader in efficient route to market.
1993Mancini Beverage commits to it’s non-alcoholic portfolio, acquiring Snapple and Polar brands.
1998Ken Mancini becomes President, marking a third generation of family leadership.
2001Northeast Beverage launches in Connecticut with Red Bull driving the new territory expansion.
2002Rhode Island Distributing is appointed Diageo for RI, significantly increasing its spirits portfolio to include industry leaders like Jameson, Tangueray and Captain Morgan.
2002With the purchase of Burts Beverage, Northeast Beverage launches a premium beer portfolio, including Stella Artois.
2006Northeast Beverage acquires Connecticut Beverage, expanding its CT beer and soft drink portfolio to Heineken and Snapple
2007Rhode Island Distributing partners with Martignetti Companies, strengthening its positioning in the RI wine and spirits market.
2008Rhode Island Distributing expands its fine wines, and now represents iconic properties like Caymus Vineyards and Plump Jack.
2012Centrex expands by 100,000 sf and 10 bays to accommodate Mancini Beverage’s growing portfolio.
2015A fourth generation of Mancini family members becomes engaged in the beverage business.
Ken has dedicated his career to our beverage distribution business, getting his start in the warehouse and on the delivery trucks during high school and college, then moving successfully through the sales organization. Today, Ken is a third-generation owner, president and CEO committed to leveraging local market expertise and operational efficiency to deliver superior results.
Ken takes an active role in the beverage industry, having served on multiple boards and committees, including for 10 years on the Board of Directors for the NBWA. Ken received his BS in Economics from Boston College in 1983. Ken and his wife Karen have four children. Ken is an avid surfer, perpetually in search of the perfect wave.
Dan joined the Mancini team in 2018 as Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for the finance and purchasing organizations for all beverage operations.? He brings 25+ years of experience from several industries and previously held roles in Finance/Accounting at Fleet Financial Group, Hasbro, American Power Conversion, Schneider Electric and most recently Alex and Ani.? He received his BS in Accounting from The University of Rhode Island and MBA with a Finance concentration from Bryant University.?
Tom is an Executive V.P. of our Corporate Leadership Team and has led the strategic growth of our Northeast Beverage platform across the Connecticut and Rhode Island Markets since the inception in 2002. A born and bred Cantabrigian with deep family roots in Boston, he graduated from Yale College in 1989 and after living abroad, he spent 12 years with Diageo Beer Company in a myriad of strategic and commercial management roles in the U.S. and Europe. He is married to his high school sweetheart Deb with two college age daughters, Bailey and Ramsey!
Frank’s experience and knowledge in the beverage industry runs deep. Frank got his start while in high school working as a part-time store clerk for a large retailer and after graduation was promoted to store manager. Frank began working in the wholesale end of beverage business in 1979, starting as a route salesman for Providence Beverage, then a wine sales supervisor, and eventually general sales manager of the Rhode Island Distributing division. In 1990 Frank became the head of Centrex Distributors. Today, Frank oversees the warehouse and delivery arm of Mancini Beverage, striving to provide excellent, accurate, courteous, efficient and cost-effective customer service. He earned a degree in Business Management from Roger Williams University. On his days off Frank enjoys working around the house, gardening, cooking and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Karen has been with Mancini Beverage since 1991, beginning her career as Assistant Office Manager and then working through several positions with various operational groups. Today, Karen is Vice President of Internal Operations with responsibility for key areas including Human Resources, Customer Service, IT and several others. Karen spent her undergraduate years at URI. She enjoys spending time with the family and the game of golf.
Jackie Mancini is the SVP of Business Operations for Mancini Beverage. In this role, Jackie develops and implements strategic growth initiatives, including M&A and technology and leads organizational development, key relationship management, and operational integration. Further, Jackie leverages her prior experience in law to manage the organization’s legal matters. Prior to joining her family’s business, Jackie practiced corporate law in Providence, RI. Jackie earned her BA at Brown University and her JD at Boston College Law School. Jackie currently serves on the board of the National Beer Wholesalers Association.
